According to the UN, more than two billion people in the world suffer from severe water shortages, and with ongoing climate change the situation is set to worsen. In this scenario, even the hotel industry is called upon to make conscious choices and the use of solid amenities is a concrete way to save water. With this philosophy, Albogroup has developed a line of solid cosmetics that saves this resource. Consequently, the packaging becomes plastic-free, favouring cardboard wrappers and cartons with reduced disposal. Solid is also cost-saving. The solid bar has a much higher yield than a liquid. Transport is optimised thanks to lower volumes and weight compared to liquids, resulting in lower CO2 emissions.

The Albogroup proposal was created to offer products that respect the environment, for cosmetics far removed from traditional chemistry. Albogroup has developed the Solid.O Original range that uses only 14% water in the product, as opposed to about 80% of detergents in liquid form. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, as well as intimate cleanser, make-up remover and shaving cream are part of what the Albogroup Solid range has to offer. The ingredients on the label are natural vegetable extracts and butters, enriched with oils, vitamins and proteins to guarantee skin-friendly cosmetics.
